The Oxford Traherne and the Visual Geometry Group at Oxford are pleased to announce a major new release of their jointly developed Traherne Digital Collator software.
The software is designed to help editors, bibliographers, and book historians identify variants in printed books. It employs computer vision technology to automatically resize and overlay pages of books and other printed matter, correcting for differences in scale, perspective and page curvature. The new version (3.0) runs entirely in a web browser, and may be installed locally or on a server. Earlier versions of the Traherne Digital Collator are already a standard research tool, used by major editorial projects across the world.
