A week of celebration in Oxford
The Oxford Traherne edition, in collaboration with colleagues at Brasenose College, has organized a week of events in Oxford to commemorate the 350th anniversary of Traherne’s death in October 2024. The events take place from Sunday 20 October to Friday 25 October, and there are a wide variety of activities ranging from traditional Choral Evensong from the choir of Magdalen College, Oxford, with two recently-commissioned Traherne settings by composer Nico Muhly, to a hands-on letterpress workshop, where participants will set and print a Traherne poem.
Traherne-inspired artwork by students at Brasenose will be on display.
A full programme of all events and details of how to register can be found here.
